1970 Harley Davidson Ironhead Sportster

1959 Harley Ironhead Sportster XLCH

This bike was in storage for over 30yrs.  The owner got it 4yrs. ago.  It took a lot of work to it to get bike running.  It has the XLCH magneto and gas tank.  It takes no battery.  Kicks over within 3 kicks cold or hot.  The S&S super E carb was refreshed, generator, voltage regulator, battery eliminator replaced in may 09.  The cylinders were disassembled, cleaned and resealed. Inspected all related parts: nothing needed for replacement.  Pistons are .030 over.  The bike has new kevlar wet or dry clutches, new clutch cable freed front brake controls (brake arm was frozen).  Replaced the front tire, handlebars, seat (there was none), rear shocks w/progressives.

The owner took bike to Virginia beach in June had no problems going or coming home.  Way too much to list! Bike is now back in storage.  Less than 4,800miles on it.  This bike runs extremely strong!
